Dr. Laurel Thomas
Dr. Thomas studied at Kansas State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine where she developed special interests in dentistry, nutrition and kidney disease. She also volunteered at Native American Reservations to provide veterinary are for underserved populations and advocated for animal welfare to lawmakers in Washington, D.C. Her passion for animal behavior led her to become a Fear Free Certified Professional, learning skills to decrease the stress of veterinary visits for pets and make medicine more enjoyable for the whole family. After practicing in Brookside for five years, she's back home in Johnson County.

Dr. Thomas is a mentor for K-State's Veterinary Business Management Association (VBMA) student group. She enjoys dressage, eating Indian food, and snuggling with her dachshund and greyhound.
